Perks now expire?

I have just had an SMS from EE telling me my "EE Perk discount is due to expire in 1 month. If you would like to continue benefiting from Perks discount simply get a new Perk code when you upgrade".

I have a SIM only contract and had not planned to upgrade. I have been using Perk discounts for a decade or so, and they never used to end at end of contract. Have Perks terms changed?

A new EE Perk code is required when upgrading.

Could you please look in your EE account online to see if your EE Perk discount has an expiry date?
