Apple TV+ link in text message to activate doesnt work

I've recently added the 6 monthly free trial on Apple TV+. I received a text with a link to activate this however the link just redirects me to the https://tv.apple.com/gb instead.

Using an Android and tried the link on a PC with the same failed results.

Same as above. My subscriptions say the trail is active but the link just takes me through to Apple TV with the same redirect. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has fixed this. Called 150 but obviously closed over the Xmas break.

No I haven't had a free trial previously nor have a active Apple TV+ account.

I had the same problem but was on WiFi with both phone and pc. The link worked when I switched off WiFi, connected to 4g instead, rebooted my phone, then followed the link.
