5GB Data Add On UK & EU

I have bought a subscription SIM in the UK and now gone into Europe so purchased 5GB data to use in the UK & EU for 30 days. However, I have turned roaming on now in Portugal and I keep getting texts telling me I need to add on a data pack. The mobile data is not working on roaming.

Please help - do I need to active this add on some how?

@TimDunkerton : As well as this add-on do you have an active pack? You need to have 1 to use this pack in EU. Otherwise you need to buy the 500MB data add-on for £3 that the text is offering you.

Hi @XRaySpeX , I have a pack I activated when I bought the Sim in the UK... should this work or do I need a different pack for EU roaming?

To use your pack allowances in the EU on PAYG there are now roaming charges of either £2.50 / day, by texting ROAMEU1D to 150, or £10 / week, by texting ROAMEU7D to 150, to be taken only from your PAYG credit, not your recurring card payment. You will receive a msg upon arrival telling you about the charges for roaming in EU. If you opt to text neither or you don't have an active pack, you will be paying standard rates for calls & texts & need to buy a PAYG add-on for data.
