Can you watch TNT sport on a smart tv directly through the app on the tv with EE

Before I subscribe to the TNT Sport add on to my mobile contract I want to establish if you can actually watch it on a large screen TV without casting it from the phone.

The article "How can I watch the TNT sports app on multiple devices is contradictory (see image below)

It states that TNT sport through EE only works on devices with an EE sim, but then goes on to list many devices including smart tvs and fire sticks that you can enter your ID and password into their apps to watch.(None of these devices can take a SIM card.)

What is the correct situation? Is it only possible to watch on a phone or tablet containing an EE sim?

I think it should be similar to how BT Sport works if you've used that before.

I believe it costs a further £10/month to upgrade to large screens.

Not sure how you actually do that though - there is only the option for the sport activiation and no instructions on how to go for large screen upgrade.

Ive tried calling 150 and followed various options but cannot find an option that lets you speak to someone about add-ons!

Just text SPORT to 150 once you have TNT setup on your account.

If you text SPORT to 150 it should give you some options for large screen access for your plan/add-on.

Didn't work for me, just says I already have TNT Sport, and to activate it (which I've already done).

Twitter staff don't know how to add large screen either. Bit of a dogs dinner if you ask me.

Nope, not showing in my addons. I've never had a problem before but in the last couple of weeks, getting all sorts of errors.

I'm happy to pay the extra for large screen access, as per the screen attached, but there is absolutely no way of getting it added.

It’s all very confusing. If the above is true, then you get Large Screen access as part of your Smart Benefit. However, the person I just spoke to on the phone says you must pay extra, though she admitted she really had no idea!!

Thanks Leanne. After checking my bill, I haven’t been charged for Large Screen access for August. Should I change my Smart Benefit from BT Sport to TNT Sport on Discovery+ or will it update automatically?

You can continue watching TNT Sports via the BT Sport App until it ceases later this season. However, discovery+ is the new streaming home for TNT Sports, and for the best streaming experience we recommend that you use the discovery+ app

It is still working ok, and I can watch everything, but I was concerned the included Large Screen access may be an opening offer and they would charge if I didn’t change soon!
