I have just moved to EE from a different company and EE seems very pricey and difficult to navigate options. I am on a 5GB monthly plan but I am going abroad (Italy) for 10 days.

I saw that there is a 'Pass' which cost £15 but it is not clear what is included.

It seems like there's nothing included, adding that pass will only allow me to use my usual GB (I have less than 3G left) which sounds crazy to pay £15 only to be able to use my plan. Could you please clarify that?

The other option is a daily pass for £2.29 which will mean over £22 for 10 days of holidays but again it is not clear what is included!!!

Also in the app under 'allowances' it says 'free data unlimited add on'...does it mean I have unlimited data? How come if I'm paying for the 5GB plan?!? It's all very confusing. I'm thinking to go back to my old company.

The Roam Abroad Pass for £15 per billing period is solely to allow you to use your UK allowances in the EU for that billing period.

The free £2.29 add-on only charges you on the days that you do use any of your UK allowances in the EU.

You may not use more than your 5GB data in the EU each billing month.

@Shushu93 The unlimited data is to keep you connected when you run out of data but this will be at a reduced speed and this has nothing to do with your tariff allowance.
This was stated on the tariffs that have this, It’s called stay connected data

If you get the £15 add on you can use your device/tariff allowances like if you was in the UK. The £2.29 only applies if you do not purchase the £15 add on and you’ll be charged this everyday that you use the device. So if you don’t use it you don’t get charged that day. And yes you can use more than 5Gb per month abroad and that’s your stay connected data all be it a slow speed, If you want something faster you’ll need to purchase a data add on.
