Free 1gb data bonus

New to EE transferred by BT and on a joint account with my wife. My wife has been allocated a 1gb add-on without asking for this, but I have not. Why would that be? Quite happy to have the add-on but why only one of us. I notice it is £6.50 to buy it which is far too much.

Any ideas folk?

@Muttley9 Because your wife now has a 2nd line on her account so your wife is entitled to this 1Gb extra on her line. She’s the account holder. Unfortunately you’re not entitled to it as your line is the 2nd line. The more lines added to the account the more 1Gb extras your wife will get.

Thanks Chris - but I am the account holder with my wife on my account. So that doesn’t seem to be the reason.
