Hi how do I know if my EE phone will work in Spain ? It says I have an add- on already ? Is this all that is required . Had problems in the recent past with another EE mobile not working / not receiving calls in Spain. What do I need to do ? Can’t get hold of EE

Welcome to the community.

What add-on is showing active on your account?

Customers are now required to purchase Roaming Pass to be able to use their services abroad.

This is either a £2.29 per day charge or you can purchase a 30 day rolling pass for a one off charge of £15.

The pass can be removed when you return to the UK at any time.

Please also ensure you text ROAMING to 150 to activate roaming before leaving the UK.

Hi Katie under the mobile account number I clicked on active add-ons and it does say £2.29 per day for EU roaming as you say . It says add on can’t be removed. So that ok then it’ll work in Spain ?
It’s my daughters phone ( my account / bill payer) so wanted to be sure she could FULLY use her phone .
She has texted “ROAMING” too to 150 as that was on the front page on EE website somewhere .

Hi @MelA1,

That's all good to go, the phone will work in Spain if you have texted ROAMING to 150.

However rather than paying the £2.29/day charge you can purchase a 30 day rolling 'Roam Abroad' pass for a one off charge of £15. It may work out better financially if you're going for a few days. To purchase it, text ROAMING PASS to 150.

The Roam Abroad Pass is £15 per whole billing month.
