Blue Light Card

I have a Blue Light Card and recently used it to get an EE mobile discount code.

I've tried using the code to get a discount when buying a 24 month sim only upgrade for my current phone but the system won't accept it.

Is this normal?? i.e. EE like to be seen to be helping emergency services but don't actually do so.

We offer a 20% perk discount for emergency services staff, as well as other organisations and businesses. You can register for it on the EE Perk Portal.

What happens with your Blue Light Discount code? What error message are you given? Have you tried on more than one device/browser?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the reply. I have my Blue Light Card as a member of Mountain Rescue (MREW) and Cave Rescue (BCRC). I've already tried to register through the EE Perk Portal using my Mountain Rescue Team email address but get the message: "The email domain entered is not registered with EE Perks"

Is this something I can work around?

I have the same issue. Did anyone find a solution? I tried calling EE but they just directed back to the perks portal

You would need this to get the EE Perk discount.

Hi Chris,

I tried to register on the EE Perks today using my Cave Rescue email address, but it wouldn’t accept it. I checked the list and saw that Mountain Rescue are included, but Cave Rescue are not. Why is this? Cave Rescue teams are part of the British Cave Rescue Council and Mountain Rescue England & Wales. We perform the exactly the same function as Mountain Rescue, that of Search and Rescue, but underground.

Could you please add Cave Rescue.

We can’t get the discount codes from the Perk Portal…because we can’t register for the Perk Portal because it doesn’t recognise our email addresses.

I am sorry to hear Cave Rescue is not listed.

We do not have the ability to add to the list here on the community

I would recommend speaking with your work HR/Head Office who can advise if this is a scheme they are a part of or will be joining.
