Pre Paid Mastercard and Student Beans 20% discount

Hello EE team,

I placed order after reading T&C on SB and post my order i have been given message to contact on last page. When I called EE team on given number, gentleman rejected 20% in conjunction with prepaid master card. Saying EE T&C says - offer cant be given along with other discounts.

So what's the GOLDEN TRUTH as one of the two is not showing correct T&C and its not legal.

It says in the offer terms and conditions below:

I would have assumed the card was a gift but it seems not and in fact the same as a discount. The call handler was correct as you cannot have two discounts on your account. The SB site is wrong it seems.

Offer starts 28th October and runs to 24th November. Get a digital prepaid card when purchasing one of our eligible devices on a 25GB and above plan.

Any idea how to get this correct in SB site as its misleading and legally not correct.

Surely SB must be taking some kind of approval from EE before advertising these deals, right?

Customers who take advantage of an eligible handset and plan through Student Beans are eligible for the pre-paid Mastercard offer.

We've fed this back to the relevant teams to try and make this information clearer online.

@Christopher_G Thanks a lot for confirming. I have cancelled my original order as two calls and both advisor told its not eligible.

Also chat earlier was in same line as well.

Let me see if I can place order and will keep this chat to claim pre-paid card.

I can see the wording is being very specific, if I buy an eligible handset and use a student discount code to reduce the price, will that very same handset and plan give me the reward for that specific package. The person that started this forum says otherwise and that they didn't get it

The prepaid card offer is eligible with the student discount code and also the perk discount code being applied at checkout.

You can call us on 150 or 0800 079 8586 and the team will go through all available options to receive the card.

If this is the case. How come I spoke to a colleague of yours today who told me I'm not entitled to the £300 mastercard because I received NHS perks discount off my contract?

Hi Chris.

Im not sure if you're able to speak to someone. EE have opened up a complaint and I'm due a call today from a manager. I was told the mastercard offer is not available with a discount and referred me to the terms and conditions. I was offered a small discount for the inconvenience or told they would rip up my contract and allow me to walk away. I've spent a £45 on Charger, phone case and screen protector, so what a waste of money. Not to mention selling my old phone so if I was to walk, I'd be without a phone. I'm at the end of my tether. I've only been with EE for not even 3 weeks and I've had a nightmare.

Are you certain that even with NHS discount, I'm eligible for the £300 mastercard (as I was advised by more the 3 of your colleagues until yesterday)

We've definitely been told that EE Perk customers are eligible, @APS_83. If it's a different type of NHS discount, that could be why.
