Do you need to pay for a pixel watch plan?

Hello,

A little confused about this. I got the pixel watch free on an offer when I upgraded to the pixel 7 pro with EE. In this I assumed that the watch plan would be free as it was advertised as a "free watch". Do I need to pay for a data plan for it if I want to use it standalone from my phone? If so I'm a bit annoyed about the misleading way it was advertised

Welcome to the community.

You should be able to pair your Pixel Watch with your phone plan to use when in proximity of your phone's Bluetooth.

If you are looking for a plan to use your watch out of Bluetooth proximity of the phone, you would need to purchase a watch plan through the setup process on the watch.
