Hi all I send my wife data and have traveled to the USA before leaving I purchased roam abroad and got confirmation that the add on is active when in the uk but we have had a message from ee after landing saying it’s going to cost £5 for 500mb. And nothing about we can use the data like I have had on my phone. Has anyone had this before?

Welcome to the community.

The Roam Abroad add-on/Smart Benefit definitely covers USA, so as long as that's active, you'll be able to use your allowances as you would in the UK.

Thank you for a reply. I have told her to just use the data and as it shows the add on is active on the ee app if they try and charge I will have to ask the question my I was charged for the add on if it can’t be used. Thank you again.
