Apple News+ 6 months free not working

Trying to activate the 6 months of free Apple News+

I keep pressing the button to activate but it keeps saying “we’re having tech troubles, try again later.”

I’ve been trying again for over 2 days and it’s not working. Same message.

Have you text NEWSPLUS to 150?

Just to check, have you had the free offer previously for the same Apple ID?

I’m not sure as I’ve had the iCloud account for a while.

if I text 150 will this activate 6 months free or just activate Apple news and I would start paying straight away!

This would activate the free offer, you will get a text with an activation code and and a link to the Apple News+ app, where you can sign up to activate the offer.
