Thanks. I have spoken to EE and it seems that after a recent power outage the phone failed to return to normal mode and that it is 'stuck' in 4G mode. On their advice I tried a number of things (settings on the phone, powering on and off etc) and it continues to have 4G displayed on the screen. They are sending a replacement.

The brochure for my Motorola FW 500 Emergency Back Up Telephone explicitly states "This mobile number will only accept calls when there's a power cut and its (sic) working in backup."

Despite being correctly installed and with no power cut I am getting a string of nuisance calls on this device. I have looked in to this and have found that, despite this assurance, I can call the number and that it rings.

How do I fix this?

See the section you are discussing ""This
mobile number will only accept calls when there's a power cut and its working in backup."" If this is just not the case then call EE CS and have them check it out must be something wrong in your account setup. It does say limited minutes on it but not if it all counts up, worth having a check with EE.

Digital Home Phone FW500 hybrid phone | Devices Help | EE Help
