Just done the same a few weeks back. We went across on the same call package as under Plusnet and I've seen the first direct debit come through from EE and it is the same as it was under Plusnet.

There is just one oddity which is a small DD charge (around £1.50) I've seen from Plusnet AFTER the DD changed to EE that I just need to check into but I think it might be a monthly retention fee for my Plusnet email mailbox which I have only used for testing occasionally in the past and don't really need.

This does raise an interesting question over the actual cost of service delivery for BT and whether it might have decreased. i.e. if I had changed my Plusnet service to SOGEA (broadband without a landline) and taken my landline to a VoIP provider, it ought to have come in a bit cheaper than moving to EE - but I suppose you pay a bit of a premium for having an integrated solution from one provider.

@YorkshireMidge Worth doing the maths i would say, and what is integrated, FF500 and landline zero calls package is £29.50 from VF with there standard increases every April time. PN may have saved you the ETF had that gone past Jan2027 but then they would have cut off the Landline or had to put it over to BT's emergency service yanked the bill up sky high and possibly stopped the broadband at the same time, that would be one mess.

All the PN movers really should get the BT Smart Hub2 version or EE's SH20A, it's by far the closest match to the PN2 hub with DV thrown in.

Ref. the small DD charge I mentioned (actually £1.43) from Plusnet, it looks from the invoice like it is just one day of line rental pro-rata at the end of the previous full month charge from Plusnet - so I assume that is a small correction relating to the cut-over day / billing start date for the EE service.

It was for 96p. My thinking was that it was for the hours between midnight & the actual time that EE took over the broadband & phone. I didn't quibble over 96p 😄

Having said that, my first EE bill wasn't 96p cheaper, so I'm still not sure.
