BT landline upgrade to digital service

I have a BT landline home phone and I have EE broadband.
When the BT landline gets upgraded to the digital service, will I be able to continue with BT home phone and with EE broadband ?

No, be easier to get BT broadband & keep the phone number active if you need it. In fact probably best to look at it anyway as I'd imagine you're paying more for them separate just now anyway

@lyG4 : Yes, they are 2 separate providers & services, landline with BT & BB with EE. Your BT landline will be unaffected by you having EE BB other than that analogue landlines will be phased out Jan. next year..

I have the same. You should find that BT will convert your landline to digital by offering you a Dedicated Landline Service which is effectively "DV from the exchange". See Digital Voice with No Router, No Change or Extra Kit in Home, No Engineer Visit

What type of BB do you have from EE, ADSL, partial Fibre or Full Fibre?

Will the new BT digital service operate over EE broadband, so that I can keep my BT home phone and keep my EE broadband, when the BT landline gets upgraded to the digital service ?

@lyG4 : You've already asked this and been answered.

If you don't have your landline with EE, EE BB will have no bearing on it. They are separate providers and products.

Thanks for your help. I had a letter from BT saying " The existing landline has become outdated and is being replaced with a digital service that works over a broadband connection ".
Because I'm elderly and not technically - minded, I assumed this means the new digital service will be working over my EE broadband connection.
Seems like this is not what the letter meant ?

The letter from BT also said " You can no longer take broadband and a landline from different providers. This means that you'll need to switch to BT Broadband to keep your BT home phone service "

It might depend on what type of BB you have from EE, Do you have ADSL, partial Fibre or Full Fibre?

I have Full Fibre. So it doesn't depend on a landline & so BT could offer me the Dedicated Landline Service. If you have ADSL or partial Fibre from EE hosted on your BT landline it could well be different & you will need to merge your BB & landline from the same provider.

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker, not the Postcode Checker.

Whilst both BT and EE do offer a digital home phone service, as this is received via your Hub, it's not possible to have separate lines with each.

You'll need to consolidate both services under one provider, so I'd recommend getting in touch so we can review your options 😊

It is certainly possible if your BB is Full Fibre. I have it! It all depends on what type of BB the OP has but hasn't told us.
