Its not just me... the post by the user below this one also did not offer an option to add content by the looks of it...

Question. I am with EE on FTTC with Digital Voice. I am being persuaded to go full fibre but will this change affect Digital Voice. Although I can't see that it would the small print says:

Its who do you make it clear too that is the problem if doing it online. It should be so easy to get the info and to do all this and it seems it is not. I just want to be sure.

I clicked through one of the offers that was sent to and personalised for me by EE and there is no mention of Digital Voice. At the moment I'm on what I suppose is a legacy Fibre Essentials 36Mbps (FTTC) contract with the phone set up as PAYG (little used to dial out but useful to have) and I pay £3 month for the PAYG.

I have tried phoning EE but after waiting 20+ minutes with just music playing and no indication of wait times or even being in a que I abandoned it.

All the offers received by email now say they are all full fibre which is to be expected and clicking through one to see what the options might be and there is no mention of Digital Voice. All but the very highest 900Mbps deal says I retain the existing Smart Hub.

I have however just found another EE page saying this. At face value this would make my 36Mbps into 74Mbps (lowest now available) and would be around £5 cheaper. Even 300Mbps would be similar to what I pay now:

You'll be asked about Home Phone during your order journey to which you will answer in the affermative.

It is not true that there is no charge for Digital Home Phone. There is at least a £3 charge for PAYG calls, as you already know, & higher for inclusive calls.

Hopefully sorted. I rang at just gone 8am and got straight through. Digital Voice will continue at the £3.00 per month rate with the new 300Mbps contract. 9th April all being well.
