DTMF tone “squelching”!

The DTMF tones on my EE Homeplus handsets are “squelching” rather than emitting a clear “beep” tone. This causes failure of DTMF tone operated menus etc when using the handset keypad buttons. If I reboot the hub the tone restores to a “beep” for one use only and then reverts to a “squelch” again. This causes failure of the DTMF tone functionality-very frustrating. EE can offer no solution, I’m hoping that somebody can help me out with this issue?

Hi Jim, they all are - I have 3 and have tried them all after rebooting the hub on each occasion.

Many thanks - have tried with the old handset hard wired directly to the hub, same result I’m afraid. Will try with only one handset switched on as you suggest. Will keep you posted!
