Do you have more than one landline in your home? If you do, do any other the other landlines ring?

Does your landline phone have a volume setting on it?

Thanks Chris S! Not sure if I did anything, or if there had been a problem with the broadband, but it’s working now, although there’s a 3 - ring delay in the land phone starting to sound when I ring it on my mobile.

Glad this is now working for you.

The delay you get when calling the landline from your mobile, do you hear ringing from the mobile before the landline phone makes a sound?

Have you tried the steps in the Fix common home phone faults and the Unable to Make or Take Calls with Digital Home Phone page? The troubleshooting may help with the delay in ringing.

Yes, Leanne, I hear it ringing on my mobile 3 times before it rings on the actual house phone. It’s in the main socket. I’ve switched it off and on again, but no change. I’m not keen on reset to factory settings cos I would lose all my numbers etc. Why is nothing simple anymore? I hate technology!

I'd recommend getting in touch with our team, who will be able to run through some steps and look into this further. They'll be able to check for anything that may be causing a delay with your incoming calls and help get things sorted.
