Please don't swap to EE ,

Swapped to EE from BT ,found that the Tone Voice Dialing won't work as my router is upstairs with my desktop computer and my phone is downstairs , voice adapter doesn't have a strong enough signal ,if I call a number where you have to put in numbers for a extension ,I have to disconnect the phone and take it upstairs and plug into the router, after many calls to there tec dept I was told there is nothing they can do and I will just have to put up with it ,.This is totally unacceptable,

@DaveT-1943 You are in the correct area, but there are a few out on the Broadband & landline section also, your own answer phone should work fine as long as the DV Voice system does not jump in and get the call first, you will have to check your own one for the number of rings before it picks up the call, and go set the EE voice ring up to maximum which is ten rings. That will probably sort your own DECT system to answer, but it will not catch second calls or call waiting, so you need to pop out sometimes to see if you do have a DV voicemail unless you have one of the new Advanced phones that display's call in voicemail indicated.
