We are very sorry to see you go ?!?

Just received the following email out of the blue (I'm not leaving EE).

"We are very sorry to see you go. We'd really appreciate it if you could tell us why you're leaving. Your feedback can help us to improve our products and services for others."

Tried to contact EE by phone and was told my call would be answered within 45 minutes - awesome service - not.

Anyone else had similar or could shed light please?

@berniej You need to speak with customer services asap. You get this message when you request a PAC to port your number to a different number. You might not of requested this but someone did and they are trying to take control of your number, Your number is probably linked to your bank account plus other accounts.

EE don’t control the number of customers calling at anyone time so if you need to wait then unfortunately you need to wait.

@berniej It might also be prudent for you to contact your bank as you might lose control of your bank account/s.

@berniej you get the same message if someone is trying to take over your broadband, again you need to speak to EE before you lose Broadband access.

However if they are not saying what product you are leaving and the email/letter/message has a dodgy link in it, then that is another issue - don't click it!

Thanks all, spoken to EE, looks like it was an attempted scam.

There was a link to 'take a survey' which was probably dodgy.

Hi I had the same email and spoke to Customer service at EE and they confirmed that it was not from them and to delete it as it was a scam. Hope this helps
