Hi,

Does anyone know if EE has a feature/service that can connect to a deaf/severe hearing loss speech to text app (Rogervoice App)? I am a deaf person wearing a cochelar implant and I recently subscribed to this app and the idea is when someone calls me it will go directly to the app system and voice from incoming calls will get transcribed in real time. The system will call forward all incoming and outgoibg calls. However, I went to a local EE shop and inquired about this and they are not aware if EE support this kind of service and asked me to check this via customet service.

Hope someone has an idea about this so I can resolve my problem. Many thanks.

I've been having a look at the Rogervoice website to try and learn a bit more about the service. Have Rogervoice given you a separate mobile number to use through their app?

Yes I was given a Rogervoice number, its ***********. Attaching the convo I had with them.

“Now, on your phone, activate call forwarding
Here's the article that explains how to do it
https://help.rogervoice.com/en/articles/3790018-call-forwarding. Do **21*********# in order to be able to receive phone calls with your personal phone number
(Do it on your iPhone). **21************# or **21*************# ? I don't know how phone numbers look like in UK.”

UK phone nos. start with a '0' or '+44'. That is a UK landline phone no. you have been given. To set it up for Call Forwarding you should be dialling on your phone **21*0142xxxx006# (No. obscured for security). You need to be on contract to do that, not PAYG.

Yes the Rogervoic number given to me is a UK landline number. However, I also still want to use my UK mobile number and thats the reason I inquired for this call forwarding capability of EE. May I know what you mean I need to be in contract? And what is PAYG?

Do you have a pay monthly contract where you are presented with a bill each month which you have to pay within 7 - 10 days? As opposed to Pay As You Go (PAYG).

Are you asking if I have a contract with EE or Rogervoice? My EE mobile subscription is only prepaid. I just recently availed of paid subscription with Rogervoice app. Have I answered your question?

Yes, with EE. As you're on PAYG you can't use Call Forwarding.

I just switched to pay monthly contract today. Would you be able to help me set up the call forwarding as per the Rogervoice app instruction?

i have followed the instruction and its now working. Thanful and really appreciate all the assistance. Last question though, is there an extra cost everytime the call forwarding feature is used when I get an incoming call?

No, not in the EU. You will be making an outgoing call which should be covered by your call allowance.
