Charity Raffle Prize

I am the Chairman of a registered charity that was set up to provide grants to smaller charities. Because we are a very small foundation, for the time being the trustees have made the decision to support a single charity that do some incredible work supporting children in care and care leavers and we have been proud to be able to raise funds and provide grants to them over the last 3 years.

The reason for writing to you is that we are hosting a quiz night on the 8th November which will include a raffle. We have been lucky enough to have been given some raffle prizes by local firms and contacts and I wondered whether you may be willing to provide something for the raffle too.

It would mean a lot if you would be willing to perhaps offer something. If that is possible, please let me know.

On 12th - 13th July 2025, my son, who is 5 Years Old, will be taking part in Cancer Research Relay for Life. On 5th April 2025 we will be holding an event to raise money for Cancer Research. During this will be holding a Raffle to raise money and we were hoping that you may be willing to supply us with a donation for our raffle.

I am writing on behalf of a community based event " The Stedham Wartime Weekend" we have for the past 4 years run our event to raise funds for a veterans charity called project 71 in August of each year . Unfortunately this charity has now wound up and we are now looking to raise funds in support of SSAFA for this years event. (SSAFA's registered charity number in England and Wales is 210760)

We are an event that year on year is getting bigger and bigger and this year will have around 30 military vehicles , and various displays including including demonstrations of military equipment , historical talks , wartime musical entertainment, and a Barbecue. This year we will have a big focus on VE & VJ day with an appropriate memorial service held during the weekend , with some (regrettably few now) veterans invited to attend.

This is very much a family focused event with the opportunity for kids to "Clamber" on board some of the vehicles and be educated about the war and some of the major campaigns that took place.

We are also sponsored by The Village Pub who always provide a discounted Bar on the day with the proceeds going to your Charity also.

Last year we raised around £2700 pounds and would like to raise more this year.(any money collected in your buckets would go directly to SSAFA and your buckets would not be tampered with and kept securely prior to you collecting them)

All monies raised will go to the SSAFA (Soldiers', Sailors' & Airman's Families Association)an important charity working with both the current Armed Forces and Veteran's.
