I believe there have been some Microsoft server issues. Started seeing people saying it was M365, but it seems to have spread to Azure services. DNS issue it sounds like, as always.

AWS specifically is reporting no issues.

Not according to my Alexa. It is experiencing widespread outages.

Look at https://downdetector.co.uk/status/aws-amazon-web-services/ from 3:30 PM which fits with the timescale implied in my OP.

Now both EE and my credit card site have cottoned on and are now reporting "System Error/Maintenance".

Amazon themselves have reported AWS to be "operating normally", with a notice on their AWS Status page saying "There are no issues with AWS services, and all AWS services are operating normally. We are aware that an operational issue at another infrastructure provider may be impacting some customers' applications and networks."

The prevalent issue at the mo' seems to be Microsoft and Azure.

Agreed, all of the eggs are in 3 baskets that often overlap into one.

Yes, the consensus seems to be that MS Azure is at the bottom of this worldwide outage, as well as the far higher (3x) DownDetector problem reports, with a consequential knock-on effect on AWS.

So, fixed for the mo' but with 2 such incidents this month when will the next such occur with the Net so heavily dependent on so few ginormous operators?
