Currently EE do not offer any kind of satellite direct-to-mobile service.

Unfortunately no one on this Community Forum or otherwise knows what EE plan to launch, with the exception of EE themselves, so cannot provide you an answer other than "not right now". These are sensitive commercial details, so any announcement will be through official EE channels if or when they decide to launch new offerings.

New announcements are usually made here: https://newsroom.ee.co.uk/

I have a second sim on o2 with Satelite service enabled.
It works okay - but needs clear line of sight but can be slow to connect - as only kicks in after ‘no service’ on cellular for more than a minute.
what is frustrating is often ( EE included ) the mobile shows say. 2 bars but internet is not working ( possibly due to congestion ). In this scenario o2 does not switch to satelite so despite the service, still don’t have internet.
Meanwhile, hope this does come to EE in due cause.

I've experienced it once first-hand, and heard a few anecdotal tales... of O2 users relying on satellite where other operators (usually but not always, EE) have proper 4G service.

Not saying it's always the case, but I suspect quite often - it is.
