Let's be completely realistic for a second: a single modern AAA game download or digital library update can easily swallow over 100GB. Throw in 4K streaming, multi-gigabyte routine patches, and normal everyday household use, and hitting 600GB isn't 'commercial abuse' or 'non-personal use'—it's just basic modern life.

Hiding behind the small print of T&Cs to defend a restrictive numerical cap doesn't change the fact that labeling a plan 'unlimited' while policing heavy data is completely misleading and out of touch. Other providers have moved on to truly unthrottled data, and it's well past time EE scrapped this dark-ages restriction instead of treating basic digital tasks like a crime."

@Doubleagent2022 have you been hit by the fair usage policy and been throttled for going over it consistently. When it was 1000Gb only a few users actually went over 600Gb and hit the 1000Gb FUP at that time.

It has nothing to do with being 'hit' or trying to dodge policies, and everything to do with calling out misleading marketing.

Labeling a plan 'unlimited' in bold letters while secretly hiding a hard 600GB ceiling behind a Fair Use Policy is a contradiction in terms. When a modern household streams in 4K, downloads routine multi-gigabyte patches, and handles game downloads that easily clear 100GB a pop, hitting those numbers is completely normal personal use.

Calling anything over 600GB 'non-personal use' or threatening traffic throttling doesn't make it right—it just proves the policy is completely out of touch with modern digital demands."

The policy is a joke, 5GEE and 4GEE router plans are a rip off as-well.

Three Vodafone, 02 are crap in my area.

@Doubleagent2022 It’s a fair usage policy it doesn’t mean you’ll be hit the moment you go over 600Gb with a slower connection. EE reserve the right to do so though should you consistently go over the fair usage policy. It’s not 600Gb and that’s it no more until the following month. It’s not a cap at 600Gb.

And thanks for that comment as obviously someone who doesn’t agree with you your only comeback is derogative comments, shows the sort of person who you are. Best of luck and if you’re not happy with EE FUP and obviously your not why are you even here on the EE forum kicking off about something that you have no intention of having via EE. A pointless comment it would seem to just have a rant because life’s not fair when you don’t get what you want.

Try doing that around TF4 where O2, Vodafone, and Three are all a complete letdown for fixed replacement, leaving EE as the only network actually pushing proper speeds. When you're stuck with that kind of local monopoly, getting hit with a 600GB restriction on a plan sold as 'unlimited' isn't something to shrug off—it's the only game in town getting squeezed by misleading marketing."
