In fact, The EE mobile network uses Carrier Grade NAT (CGNAT) resulting in a double NAT, which means that you don't get your own public IP address but share it with other users. So you can't be uniquely id'ed on the Net & therefore your LAN cannot be addressed from outside for unsolicited accesses. This is unlike fixed BB. This could v. well be underlying your issue.

What are you wanting uPnP for?

Hi, I switched to Ee from BT a while ago now. I’ve been having the same issue I’ve called EE support and they can’t help either saying it’s not an issue on their side. Yet all my research online has points to they need to allow a static ip or a fixed one.

I’m using one of them 4G booster devices as I’m in a HMO and they don’t allow me to get a broadband.

I’m unable to connect UPnP (saying it’s unsuccessful) which make it so I’m unable to join Xbox party’s and game as I’d like to.

I’ve tried all the troubleshooting methods I can think of. Including turning upnp off and on resetting the device and console etc. Nothing seems to work.

I’ve seen a few posts on the forums about port forwarding inside the firewall option on the http://192.168.1.1 but when I go to the advanced settings the there is no firewall option.

I’m at my wits end with this now as it’s been an ongoing issue for a little over a year and I’ve called so many times as my tech friend said it’s something you guys have to enable now I don’t know if that’s true, but seeing as she works in a broadband company I partly believe her.

I’ve also swapped between ipv4 and ipv4&ipv6 and that still hasn’t worked.
