&lt;P&gt;If you have gifted data, it would be at full speed for your plan, depending on the network availability in the area.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you had used all of the data first and were on stay connected data, you are right in saying it can take a little bit of time for the system to pick up that you are out of the slower data allowance and return you to full speed.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Gifted data speeds</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Can someone clarify at what speeds is gifted data supposed to run?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've just used up my monthly allowance partly on purpose to test the "Stay Connected" add-on which I haven't used before. I then gifted myself data from another number on my account (got the confirmation text and it's showing in the app), but it stays at capped speed of around 0.5Mbps. I thought that with gifted data it should run at normal speed, otherwise what's the point? Can someone clarify?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Edit: just done a speed test and it's running at full speed! I guess it just took some time to switch.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
