I have 6gb of data left on a 50G plan. I am heading to Europe and have roaming as my included add-on, however, may be out of WiFi zones in some of my travel locations. My allowance doesn't renew for a couple of weeks - would it be wise to buy more data so I can use maps etc whilst travelling? How much is 6Gb anyway?

Apple & Android phones have a data usage counter, where your usage is broken down into WiFi/mobile and then into individual apps - you can also sync the counting period to match your bill run.

I strongly suspect that 6Gb will be plenty enough for use of mapping applications, but check your counter to be sure.
