Hi,

so I have been with EE for nearly 10 years and I have been pay as you go the entire time and been on the £10 everything plan that gets the free boosts every 3 months. Recently I’ve been able to afford the iPhone 16 plus and was excited to finally be able to get 5G which I couldn’t on my iPhone X before. However I can’t seem to get 5G anywhere at all and my mum who is in the same house next to me on a PAYG plan gets 5G everywhere and I just wondered how can I access 5G? I’ve got all the settings on in my phone and I’m happy to move to a more recent plan and set up a direct debit for it if it means I get 5G

5G is not available from EE PAYG SIMs. You'd need to be on contract to get it.

Hi @Murney0908,

Welcome to the Community!

As @XRaySpeX has mentioned, we do not offer 5G on Pay As You Go plans, but if you give our team a call, then they will be happy to look into one of our Pay Monthly SIM plans, that would work for you.
