Am i correct in thinking that my 5G All Rounder unlimited plan which started in 2023 isnt one that will take advantage of 5G standalone?

You would be correct that it is not available on your current plan. It's not a matter of it being "only available to new customers", it is a feature added to the new All Rounder and Full Works plans taken out after 29th August 2024.

Has nothing to do with customer tenure, it is just dependent on the tariff you're on.

Thought as much. Only available to me if i switch from my 'old' all rounder plan to the 'new' all rounder plan, probably involving renewing my contract for another 24 months etc 🙂 which i dont want to as i would as i understand it lose ROW1 as an inclusive extra on the new all rounder plan

Yep that's about right

Just sit tight and maybe see if you can see a nice promo on Full Works at some point in the future I reckon.

Actually….

I switched to take advantage of this and my contract wasn’t extended! I’m glad this is the case as I plan to leave when YouFibre launch their MVNO network.

Then you are the bizarre exception to the rule.

Upgrading from any one mobile tariff to another requires signing up for a new minimum term as part of the Upgrade process.

Those with EE Broadband have access to EE One SIM or Airtime offers with a discounted 1-month rolling contract, but in all other cases All Rounder or Full Works plans are 24-month minimum terms.
