OP certainly won't be connecting to 5G on a Samsung Galaxy A6 from 2018, but should connect to 4G bands naturally.

If, by "G4" you mean "4G", this is simply a radio access technology like "2G" or "3G". If your phone has coverage indicators, then you have service and thus very likely 4G.

Does your phone show "VoLTE" next to your coverage indicators? This means "Voice over LTE" which is the technology behind 4G-calling... you're using the 4G network for your voice calls & mobile data if so.
