Hi, I have gone onto my EE App today to gift some data to my other devices, like I have done for the past umpteen months, and it I've been met with this. Anyone any ideas why?

Have you changed any of the plans on your account since you last tried gifting data?

Also can you please check to make sure that your app and phone are both fully up to date too?
Peter

Hi Peter

Yes there has been a slight change to one of the "sub plans" but the main one, which is used to gift the data, has not changed at all.

I'm pretty sure everything is up to date but I'll try the uninstall, reboot and re-install and see how that goes..

Thanks

Richard.

Can you please just check which plan is showing for the one you've changed recently?

If this is listed as a 'No Frills' plan, then these aren't eligible to receive data via gifting.
Peter

Hi Peter.

The main plan, which has always shared the data out, is unchanged. This is called EE All Rounder Unlimited.

There are three sub plans, made up of two mobiles and a mifi.

One of the two mobiles has become an upgrade, and now has unlimited data itself, so doesn't need to receive any "shared data".

However, the other mobile and the Mifi are totally unchanged, start with minimal data, and rely on the main plan to share data with them. The relationship between the main plan and these two sub plans should be unchanged?

Regards

Richard.

If you haven't already I'd definitely recommend that reinstall, and if you continue to struggle please reach out to our mobile tech team who will be able to take a closer look from our end.

Just an update on this - It turns out I can't gift data as all my devices are now unlimited data due to me taking out EE Broadband! I never knew this as no-one told me. So hopefully I can sort out my TV issue (see another thread) and then I'll continue with this great broadband service.
