10Mbps should be plenty enough for the functions you describe, so I struggle to believe that's the only issue here.

What do you mean by "removed me from a plan I had no issue with"?

I know this was posted last year but just a word of warning to others, the no-frills plan is for basic users. On this plan, I struggled to access services such as Apple Pay and respond to Nest Doorbell notifications - all that with a wholesome 5G connection and this was because of the 10mbps cap. I've since moved off said plan but had to sign up to a 24 month contract with another plan. Go EE - removed me from a plan I had no issue with from performance and price (was out of contract) to one that doesn't suit my needs - also failed to mention the 10mpbs cap btw.
