You both need to be to be under the same MyEE family a/c, not PAYG or a No-Frills contract, to be able to gift data. See Gift Your Data and Set Controls .

Is the number you wish to gift data to on the same billing account?

If yes, when logged in to your My EE please follow these steps:

Plans and subscriptions > Scroll down to Data Gifting > Select 'Gift your Data'.
