Within the UK, your EE phone will only connect to EE. However, EE's 4G service is provided across multiple frequency bands with different characteristics.

Sometimes an onscreen signal bar that appears to be varying whilst the phone is static, can be bouncing between these bands depending on network loading and other signal quality measurements. This is perfectly normal.

Hi. this happens to me too. most recently last night at a concert which meant I couldn't use social media or check train times etc. I also lost phone signal twice and had to switch off my phone to get it back. How can I stop this from happening?

Hi @tlm14

This sometimes happens when there's a large gathering of people due to network congestion. Has it been OK since?

Hi Chris. It has been fine since. Is there any way to avoid this happening, is there a setting I change on my phone?

thanks

It sounds like it could have just been down to congestion on the network, due to the amount of people connected, @tlm14.

You phone will automatically search for the best available network.
