I have an unlimited data sim to which I would like to be able to use and connect my laptop when out and about, but not with my phone nearby. What devices are recommended and what do I need to buy?

Welcome to the community, @Jo1910.

You can gift data to other pay monthly contracts on the same account.

So you could either get a pay monthly mobile broadband router or buy your own outright and use a SIM only contract SIM in it.

And if I need it to be non hard wired is there still a ‘usb’ single option about ?

The 5G WiFi has a USB-C slot, @Jo1910.

The 5GEE router (2021) has a USB 3.0 slot.

The 5GEE router (2021) is hard-wired for power (bottom socket).
