topic Data whilst in USA in Mobile Data

I am travelling from the UK to New York next week. How do I ensure I can access my Mobile data whilst I am there. I have tried ringing EE but it's impossible to get through. I can see people mentioning paying for add ons etc but don't know where to start. Ideally, I would like to have unlimited data for 1 week but I don't want to sign myself up to a new plan that I'm tied into.

Hello @Mckizzy ,

Welcome to the community,

Are you on pay as you go or contract?

If on contract please make sure that roaming is enabled and that call abroad and premium rate calls are set to allow, which you can do by logging in via the web or the My EE App in settings, if they are blocked and you are unable to enable, then you will have to call customer service.

You may also want to take a look here:

https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-and-international

You do not get unlimited data when abroad, but most places do have wifi, so will be able to use that instead.
