    <description>&lt;P&gt;The story (and my frustration) continues:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Went to EE shop today in Glasgow. They checked all network settings etc etc - all ok, however they thought the problem was possibly that the SIM card was a 5G card only (my phone is 4G) and swapped the SIM for a 4G card - with same number etc - But that didn't work and they then didn't know what to do.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So they thought it must be a Samsung issue, suspecting an unlocking problem. I was a bit dubious of this since the phone was unlocked and worked fine with 3. They booked me an appointment at Samsung later that day. Samsung thought the phone was fine and thought that it was an EE problem. They apparently get a lot of referrals like this from phone shops that can't fix things!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Samsung did a backup and are doing a phone health-check - at a cost of £25.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I now have no phone whilst they fix it and have to go back to the store to collect it later. A day of my life wasted that i'll never get back.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'll post again once Samsung have done their check. I suspect they will find nothing wrong and tell me to go back to EE. It was bought as an unlocked new phone 3 years ago worked fine with a sim-only contract with 3. It has to be an EE problem surely? I'm determined to get it fixed as I suspect others are having/had this issue and it doesn't seem there's a proper solution&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dave&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;its a samsung S8. Has worked fine with 3. Just changed to EE and number changed over ok yesterday. Everything looks fine until I took phone outside away from wifi and i cant get a data connection.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Tried all the usual fixes, APN settings etc etc and still no joy&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bit vexed!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;David&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Double check ALL the APN Settings again, as if it's not correctly set you may only be able to get 2G or limited 3G Data.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If Dual SIM, make sure your SIM is in 1st SIM Slot.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Check Mobile Data is On and Preferred Network is set to 2G/3G/4G Preferred.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Try Resetting the Network Settings then do a Manual Mobile Network Search.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Are you able to get into Phone Info by Dailing *#*#4636#*#* on the Phones Keypad Dailer (some Samsung won't let you do this) if you are able to, report back as there are other Settings we can try.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

There seems to be several versions in circulation. eg 'internet', '1', 'MMS'.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried the one at &lt;A href="https://www.4gapn.com/gb/en/ee%20" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://www.4gapn.com/gb/en/ee&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;with name of '1' but no joy&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I do a network reset it defaults to the 'internet' APN&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've tried all versions of APN i can find and nothing works, although I suspect from the thread thats where my problem still lies!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My phone is a samsung galaxy S8 - it won't let me access settings using *#*#4636#*#*&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Getting more frustrated!.
