Hi EE Support, I need help with my EE 4G WiFi device. The sticker on the back is missing/damaged, and I don't have the default Admin Password or WiFi Key. Also, the device is showing 'No Service'. Could you please provide the default credentials for my device?

I connected it to the computer via the micro USB port and the admin password doesn't work. I also tested the IMEI serial number 1696 on the MYWIFIXXXX 4X phone, but it still doesn't work. What should I do now?

You can try admin as the default admin password if you have not already, but it is unlikely to be in use for this model.

The wear seems a bit odd.

Try and recover the password from the image using AI.

You'll need to speak to EE CS on 150 and ask them for a replacement device.

Thanks

This is down to your company’s negligence and the poor-quality printing you use on the back of the device. When the device has been sitting unused in a cupboard for two years, the printing on the label has simply faded away, whether that’s due to heat or whatever else.

I have two other devices from different companies that I use at work and at home, from TP-Link and ZTE. Both of them have a protective layer over the label, so the printing can’t be damaged by heat or cold — you’d actually have to scratch it with a blade to damage it.

And now you’re telling me that you have no solution? So basically, I’ve just wasted my money and it’s gone straight in the bin. 😐🫤

Mate, you’re right. I did have a backup photo of it, but unfortunately, I lost all my important data, including the password for this device that I had saved, because the HARD and CPU in my phone failed.

That’s why it’s called the keep me card, it even says this on it. It will not fade with heat ever.

Mate, the printing on this particular model is genuinely very poor quality. I tried it yesterday, and even rubbing it with a bit of saliva was enough to make it come off.

I don't know about your device, but in my case, nothing like acid has been spilled on it. The printing has just faded/come off on its own.

Since you're the printing expert here, could you please explain why you think the printing on the back has disappeared for no apparent reason, mate?
