Any idea why I can't use my credit to top up a mobile sim in a router?

What's stopping you? How are you trying to buy data?

I try to top up and i am taken to buy more data and when I do it puts it in to the account as credit. I cant see how to apply that credit to the sim. I have tried!

It seems you have topped-up the credit with money but not managed to buy (not top-up) more data with it.

Visit http://add-on.ee.co.uk/purchase from a device connected to your mobile router by WiFi to see what data add-ons are available.

Thanks for the reply, I am about 3 Km from the router. It is connecting a cctv to the web so that I can monitor some sheep. I was hoping that I could do the top up from home but I will try CS they have helped in the past.

You can't do it remotely. You need to be on a device connected to the router. CS can't do it for you.
