You need to phone EE giving 30 days notice of cancellation of your contract.

Hi ee so I had a 4g broadband contract witch ended about a year ago I was still using and being charged for the box. I decided I didn't want it any more. So I have tried to cancel it but there is nothing on my account to cancel and.the end of it I had to just cancel the direct debit payment. Was this right to do. As I don't have a contract with ee

You really should not just cancel a direct debit without speaking to CS if you are still being charged. Whilst you may not have been in contract, you would still need to give notice that you wanted to cancel.
