EE Hybrid Connect Aerial / Antenna

Hi there,

I have just upgraded my broadband and now fully switched from BT to EE. I have received a EE Hybrid connect. Whilst I'm very grateful for this, I have no signal at all inside my house anywhere. I have thought about buying an antenna as the signal is really good on my balcony. However, to save me having to wire everything and dust of my tools, (and save butt tones of money!!!) can I connect my hybrid connect to my existing tv antenna?

There is a normal coaxal / tv antenna port in my office right next to my kit which isnt in use any more but is still connected to the antenna. Of course I would need a SMA adapter or something for it to work but asides from that, is this actually possible? If not, do EE sell any kind of mobile signal boosters?

You'll need a specific mobile antenna not TV antenna assuming you asking if this can be attached?

Can you not connect to WiFi calling if you have a poor mobile connection.

Hi... No i cant because this is for my EE Hybrid connect device not my mobile phone. You can get a sma to coaxial adapter online. I just want to know if that would work.

No, you need either the internal “rabbit ears” or an external omni directional 4G aerial (unless you know where the nearest EE site is). Look on Amazon or similar for 4G LTE SMA.

I have the internal version on mine and have it in a window at the back of the house as that is the only location I can get a decent signal.

You can check your local EE sites on a website like https://www.cellmapper.net/

There are several videos on YouTube that show you how to use the external type.

Don’t forget that the Hybrid Connect tops out at 30 Mbps when in use, so you don’t need exceptional signal, just functional.

@CentralAlexis Can you take a look on your Hybrid connect unit, the newer supplied have had the External Connection removed and NO longer support any method off having/fitting anything to them.
