What is the difference between these plans? (Mobile Broadband upgrade)

Hi Customer Support,

I am currently reviewing the mobile broadband options. From the options displayed they appear to be identical (see image below). There is nothing on the page to provide more detail as to the differences and the icons are the same (again nothing to denote what they actually mean).

I use the SIM in an EE supplied 4G router to provide residential broadband. The installation is static (non-roaming, connected to internal residential network infrastructure).

Please explain the differences between the two packages?

Thanks for coming to the community.

It is likely that they are different plans that have speed caps in place on the plan. Do you have the link to the page where you saw this so I can check out the specific details?

From what I see on the webpage, it doesn't give any detailed information as to what the speed caps might be. I also selected each product into my "shopping basket" and that did not provide any additional information either.

What happens if you hover your mouse over/click the symbol that is shown beside each plan on your image? The one that looks like a speedometer.

It should come up with a dialog box explaining the speed cap of the respective plan

Hi Matt/Michael,

Success. I noticed after a short pause the "mouseover()" function on the graphic image does present a short description, highlighting what is included. It's not apparent when viewing the page that anything is available (it just looks like a fancy icon which isn't described anywhere).

This description should really be in plain sight and clear to anyone viewing the page when making a contractual decision - especially the 24 month plan option. I could have easily signed up for the lowest price and then discovered my speeds were limited to 10Mbps (whereas I have 100Mbps today).

If you have any influence with the EE IT department, I recommend the page is amended to make it clear what a customer is signing up for.
