EE do not issue static public IPs. The services you connect to can easily see your IP. They have no need to ask you. Many peeps wouldn't know anyway. This site routinely picks up your IP w/out asking. Just look in your Profile.

Anyway it's safer to have a dynamic IP,

Is it possible to get a static IP address allocated for my 4G router?

I work from home and services I connect to need to know my IP for security, but it changes quite freqently during the day, even if I don't reset the router.

Thanks

That would not be possible on 4G.

Thanks

That's what I figured.

Is there an alternative? Fibre isn't an option where I live and standard broadband is sub 500Kbps.

Thanks

The services I connect to only allow specific IP addresses, so if mine changes I need to update it.

This is happening quite often which is a pain.

Most peculiar sites! Most peeps have dynamic IPs. Do these sites preclude them?

Show us some of these sites.

When you resync you'll almost certainly get an IP in the same pool, say the same 1st 2 octets.

There's nothing peculiar about it. Firewall rules which restrict access by IP address are very common.

Anyway it seems EE can't actually offer me anything other than 4G, which I already have, no it's moot.

I'll have to look elsewhere.

Thanks
