5Gee Mobile Broadband HUB wifi range

Hi,

Just received my Hub. Got it working last night with 100mbs placing it by the rear window and wifi to my PC. All good and much better than my usual 12mbs

However, if I test it on my phone at the end of the lounge 15ft from the Hub I go down to 25mbs. If I go upstair to the bedroom its 4mbs (normal wooden floor)

Whilst the DL speed is way better, the wifi is shocking compared to my nighhawk with Talk Talk 12mb connection

Any ideas what Im doing wrong as if its this poor it may have to go back within the 14 days

Hi,

I've just recieved my 5Gee Hub and get 100mbs within 6 feet but it drops to about 25 if I got 12 foot to the otherside of the room (no wall) and about 5 upstairs. Do you think this would get rid of that issue

Hi @AClarida

You just need a business (or gaming) wifi access point, plus that into the ethernet port.

Alternatively download a wifi testing app from the apps store and use it to find the dead spots. It maybe as simple as changing your wifi channel.

What do you mean by - You just need a business (or gaming) wifi access point, plus that into the ethernet port.

The back of the new 5G Hub has a Lan/Wan ethernet and a LAN port
