Using Mobile Broadband in 2 Locations

I have an Essential Data SIM Unlimited mobile data account and an EE router that I use where I work as the location is a bit isolated and there isn't an option for a fixed broadband line there. But recently I have to work in two locations so I unplug my router and take it with me. This isn't the end of the world but for convenience I want to know if there is an option to have a second sim on the same account for a second router for the second location.

Does anybody know if if this is possible without paying for a second account? After all, I can't use up more of my "unlimited" data by using it in different location.

I've called EE a few times but nobody ever seems to understand the situation when I explain it (or even what type of account I have most of the time).

You can have one SIM per mobile number.

If you took an additional line, it would have its own subscription, plan & number - but would benefit from data sharing within your account.

Data sharing does have some restrictions on unlimited accounts.

@JohnnoH yes, you can have a second Sim on your account, but that Sim itself will need to be a contract Sim even if it has 1Gb of data you will then be able to gift data to that sim in order to use more data than the 1Gb. But you still have to have that second sim on contract. You can not have 2 sims sharing the data under one contract.

@JohnnoH : For that you would need 2 routers & 2 SIMs on 2 contract plans. However you could have the 2nd SIM on a low data plan & you could gift data (up to 100GB pm at the start of the billing month) to the 2nd SIM.
