Smart 5G Hub Passthough mode

From reading the manual, I thought passthough mode would allow my router/firewall to receive the WAN IP address and all inbound traffic routed directly to it.

I set it up in DHCP and Force 24 subnet and my router recieved IP 192.0.0.1 rather than a WAN IP Address

Is it possible to receive the WAN IP directly with DHCP?

I take it that you have connected a 2nd router to the Smart 5G Hub. How are they connected together?

Smart 5G Hub LAN Port is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable

Which port of the router? It should be the WAN port.

Here is my WAN settings

As you can see p2 (dhcp) get the IP address 192.0.0.1

I have exactly the same problem. Our IT people looked at it and couldn't help. They suggested it might be down to the provider rather than the device. Did you have any success?

@cyeit @Nexam the IPv4 address of 192.0.0.1 you can see is the WAN address.

I have a different modem based on a Quectel RM520N-GL inserted into a compatible adapter and linked to a Raspberry Pi running OpenWRT. Using a EE (contact) SIM card and the APN of 'everywhere', the modem interface is reporting the following:

IPv4: 192.0.0.2/27

IPv6: 2a00:23ee:10f8:25eb:20e3:13e4:25e6:e245/128

IPv6-PD: 2a00:23ee:10f8:25eb::/64

As far as I have been able to find from my own investigations testing SIM cards from all of the networks and some MVNO, over the past week using the above modem and one other, EE are the only mobile broadband provider using Dual Stack Lite https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv6_transition_mechanism#Dual-Stack_Lite_(DS-Lite) An understanding of this should explain to you why you are not receiving either a CGNAT IPv4 address https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier-grade_NAT or a public IPv4 address. All other mobile broadband providers I have tested so far use IPv4 and provide a CGNAT IPv4 address only.

I have tested Vodafone (a contract), Lebara (Vodafone MVNO), GiffGaff (o2 MVNO), Lycra (EE MVNO), Three UK (PAYG using the 'three.co.uk' APN). I have not yet tested Three UK using the '3mobile' APN because their 4G speeds are too slow in the location I am using their network which makes it unsuitable for my needs.
