topic 4GEE router speeds in Mobile Broadband

I was getting about 80-100Mbps download speeds recently on my 4GEE mobile wi-fi router, but working from home today was painful and speeds didn't get above 20Mbps, with about 1Mbps upload speeds.

The EE coverage checker says I should have excellent speeds, which is a lie for today.

I have also checked other coverage checkers, and there are no apparent outages in my area.

Also, my phone is on 3 network, where I usually get good 5G inside, but today I can't get any 5G, and no better than a 1Mbps download speed on 4G! EE's phone support seems to be overloaded today, so I'm sure something is going on in my area (East Sussex) that is affecting the networks.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

The mobile network coverage checker makes no reference to data speeds, just coverage quality. Where, specifically, are you looking? The "check status" option is EE's public facing faults lookup, I'm not sure what these "other coverage checkers" are that you refer to.

3UK is a different operator to EE, although both do share some non-active assets.
