Hi all

bought a 4gee mobile WiFi device. Ordered a pay as you go sim for the device. Popped it in and have WiFi but what I would like to know is how do I top it up when the data runs out?

it’s not added to the ee account I’ve started and wants to send a text to verify it’s me to the sim number but obviously it’s not in a phone.

am I missing something here?

thanks

Probably the same as topping-up a mobile. You can do it online or in-app.
Alternatively, if your router can do SMS, text "CR" a space, the last 4 digits of the card registered on your account, another space and the amount you want to top-up (£5 - £95) to 150, e.g.
CR 1234 20

It's all here:
https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/manage-use/pay-as-you-go/top-up-my-phone

Hope this helps.

Use Fast Top Up online with a UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is your mobile no. & it doesn't remember your card details.

Most mobile routers can receive texts. Login to it & look for the SMS Section/Inbox.
