Have you inserted the Voda SIM? That's when it'll ask for unlock if it needs it.

The internet connection I'm getting currently with my router is very slow. (Download 1MB's - 2MB's)

I'm just outside the 5G range and the 4G connection has been having a lot of high latency issues for the past 6 months, there is the odd day when I will get about 10MB's and have a stable ping but 98% of the time it's pretty much unusable for online gaming or work etc.

I've been looking into Vodaphone Ultra 5G and seen that I was well within the boundary and would have a good connection indoors and outdoors to 5G.

Before I buy a SIM I'm just asking can the router use other brands of SIM card or only EE SIM's ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

As long as it's unlocked you may use any network's SIM in it. It will be if bought new after Dec. '21.

If the router wasn't unlocked is there a way to unlock it ?

Thanks for the response by the way.

(Edit)

I've just looked at your past posts and unlocked my router, I have received and e-mail after inputting my IMEI code and have my unlock code.

But the link for "further steps" on the email just takes me here Unlock EE Device to Use with Another Network | Mobile Help | EE

The email header does say it's been accepted but I haven't needed to do any "further steps" as of now.

Hi,

I've got my unlock code but don't have anywhere to input it to

I have full access to the router main settings and everything of along that lines.

(I'm the guy who is switching over to a Vodaphone sim card)

You have any experience with this ?

Any help is appreciated, Ryan.
